Gulf Cooperation Council

The GCC Patent Office, formed in 1981, is made up of member countries:

States of UAE, Kingdom of Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, State of Qatar, State of Kuwait.

All member states are automatically covered in a Gulf Cooperation Council application. There is no further processing required at national level. Gulf Cooperation Council patents and patent applications are subject to an annual fee starting the year immediately following the application date. Renewal fees are paid centrally at the GCC Patent Office.
